Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 15, 2026. WoundCorder is designed so sensitive wound records stay on your device unless you choose to share or export them.

On-device first

Patient records, wound photos, measurements, voice notes, perfusion readings, and analysis are stored locally by the app.

No tracking stack

WoundCorder does not include ads, tracking SDKs, third-party analytics, or a cloud account requirement.

User-controlled export

Nothing leaves the device through WoundCorder unless you choose to export or share it.

Information Stored In The App

The app may store information that you choose to enter or capture, including study identifiers or initials, optional medical record or patient identifiers, optional demographic details, skin tone, comorbidities, medications, wound photos, LiDAR or area measurements, depth or volume estimates, perfusion device readings, voice notes, text notes, capture quality information, and generated wound-tracking summaries.

This information is stored locally on the device in app storage protected by iOS security features. WoundCorder does not operate a cloud account system for this app.

Permissions

Camera and LiDAR access are used to capture and measure wounds. Photo library access is used only when you choose to import an existing image. Microphone access is used only when you choose to record a voice note. Bluetooth access is used to pair with a compatible research perfusion device. Face ID or device authentication may be used to unlock and protect records on the device.

You can grant or revoke these permissions in iOS Settings. If a permission is revoked, the related app feature may stop working until permission is granted again.

Sharing And Export

Nothing leaves your device through WoundCorder unless you choose to export or share it, such as a PDF report, CSV or JSON research export, wound image, or text summary through the iOS share sheet.

After you share information with another person, app, service, institution, or storage provider, that recipient's privacy practices apply to the copy you shared.

Third Parties

WoundCorder does not sell app data and does not share app data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or tracking companies.

If you contact support by email, your email address, name, and the contents of your message are received by the support contact for the purpose of responding to your request.

Retention And Deletion

App records remain on your device until you delete them, uninstall the app, erase the device, or use an in-app deletion or erase-all-data control where available.

Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond to support requests, maintain support history, or comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting the email address below.

Children

WoundCorder is intended for clinicians, researchers, caregivers, and adults. It is not directed to children. Do not enter information about a child unless you have the legal authority and any required consent to do so.

Medical And Research Use

WoundCorder is a research and educational wound-tracking aid. It is not a substitute for professional medical judgment, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have questions about a wound or medical condition, contact a qualified healthcare professional.

Changes

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
